ALPhANOV make steps toward kW-class thin disk lasers

Through the regional project Convergence, ALPhANOV is leading the development of thin-disk laser components for next-generation lasers systems.

ALPhANOV is leading the development of thin-disk laser components for next-generation lasers systems through the Convergence project. Strongly linked to the other Technological Alliance of Laser and Health projects, and in strong collaboration with Amplitude, ALPhANOV developed advanced components and processes to enable the development of kW-class average power, high energy lasers.
A first prototype laser system working at 150W of average power, compatible with high energy, was developed using the full technological capabilities available at ALPhANOV, comprising:

The system was operated continuously for several hours, demonstrating the industrial capability of our technologies.
