What motivated you to get involved in the co-organization of this event?
The “PLI Conferences” is one of the main conferences organized in France. It brings together both academic and industrial players from the French and European laser community. It was therefore essential for IPG PHOTONICS to take part in this event.
In your opinion, what makes the PLI Conferences unique in the landscape of industrial events?
The PLI Conferences serve as a bridge between the different stakeholders of the laser field in France and Europe. The network of the Club Laser & Procédés, organizer of the PLI Conferences, is remarkable and plays a key role in promoting and developing laser technologies in France.
The PLI Conferences have succeeded in building strong connections between the academic world, working on practical laser solutions, and industrial laser players.
How do you see the role of conferences like the PLI Conferences evolving in the dissemination of laser innovations?
The number of participants in the “PLI Conferences” has been steadily increasing over the years. The PLI Conferences have become an unmissable event for all industrial players wishing to learn about laser innovations and their applications.
A memorable moment or anecdote from previous editions to share?
I personally enjoyed the 2024 edition, which took place in Bordeaux at the Palais de la Bourse. Being right in the heart of the city, in such a magnificent building, was an extraordinary experience. The networking evening held at the Bassins des Lumières was incredible!
