PLI Conferences: Guest Speaker – Eveline Reinheimer

PLI Conferences: Guest Speaker – Eveline Reinheimer

On September 24 and 25, Strasbourg will host the PLI Conferences, a key event dedicated to laser processes for industry.

Among the many experts who will be speaking, we had the honor of meeting Eveline Reinheimer from PORSCHE.
Could you tell us about your professional background and your key experiences in the field of lasers and industrial processes?
I have over 10 years' experience in automation technology and laser material processing. Following three years as a project manager in automation technology, I joined the IFSW as a research assistant in the Process Development Department. Since March 2024, I have been responsible for laser process development and its industrialisation at Porsche AG.

In your opinion, how are laser processes revolutionizing the industry today?
Lasers are unique in that they are both contactless and highly flexible. This is the key to ensuring long-term cost-effective production in Europe.

Why did you choose to participate in the PLI Conferences, and what are your goals as a speaker at this event?
I was invited, and my goal is to expand my network.

As an expert, what do you consider to be the main current and future trends in the field of industrial lasers?
I expect future trends in laser material processing to be driven by cost. This means that not just a high degree of automation will be required, but also a cost-effective, real-time, 100% process monitoring, as it can only be realized by using AI.

In your view, what role does the Club Laser & Procédés play in promoting and advancing laser technologies in the industry?
It is a good platform to see what's new on the market.

We look forward to Eveline Reinheimer’s talk at the end of September in Strasbourg!

The PLI Conferences 2025 are organized by CLP, IREPA LASER, ICUBE, IPG PHOTONICS, PRECITEC, and the PHOTONICS INSTITUTE, with support from TRUMPF and OPTOPRIM, in partnership with PHOTONICS FRANCE.
