Could you introduce your organization and its core expertise?
“Aerotech is a specialist in ultra-high-performance positioning. We develop, manufacture and fully master our solutions, from motors and stages to complete positioning systems.
For more than 25 years, we have chosen to put this expertise at the service of laser processes and today offer the most high-performance 2D, 3D and 5D galvanometers on the market.”
Which recent innovations or achievements are you most proud of?
“We enable perfect synchronization between axis motions, galvanometer mirrors and laser pulses thanks to our IFOV (Infinite Field of View) and PSO (Position Synchronized Output) functions.
These solutions are ideal for 2D and 3D processes. Our 5-axis galvanometric head is part of this architecture and additionally allows control of cut edge quality, beam angle and focal distance, while remaining perfectly synchronized with the XY mirrors and positioning axes.”
How long have you been a member of the Club Laser & Procédés, and what does this membership bring you?
“We have been members of the CLP for five years. It is essential for us to be able to cooperate closely with all players in the sector: laser source manufacturers, integrators, research institutes and even our peers.
The CLP is an ideal organization to structure and animate this network.”
Why did you choose Premium membership, and what benefits do you gain from it?
“As a leader in positioning solutions for the laser market, it is important for us to support the actions of the CLP in promoting laser processes, while also benefiting from the services and visibility offered by this organization. Premium membership naturally fits into this commitment.”
In your opinion, what are the upcoming innovations or trends in the laser sector?
“The combination of axis motion and galvanometer scanning is attracting growing interest, even for small parts, in order to limit spot distortion while increasing productivity.
Aerotech’s DrillOptimizer and Infinite Field of View functions will make it possible to drastically increase productivity while meeting the very high quality requirements of sectors such as advanced electronics, medical devices, watchmaking and semiconductors.”
