The organising committee speaks – ALPHA-RLH

The 2026 edition of the PLI Conferences will be held on July 1–2, 2026, at the Beaublanc Stadium in Limoges. As every year, the Club Laser et Procédés collaborates with key local stakeholders to contribute to the success of this flagship event dedicated to laser processes and their industrial applications.

On this occasion, we spoke with the competitiveness cluster ALPHA – Route des Lasers & des Hyperfrequences®, a partner of the PLI Conferences 2026.

Interview with Thomas Colombeau
Deputy General Manager of the ALPHA-RLH cluster

Can you briefly present ALPHA-RLH?

The ALPHA – Route des Lasers & des Hyperfrequencies® competitiveness cluster is the reference deeptech cluster in Nouvelle-Aquitaine for Photonics - Laser & Electronics – Radiofrequency technologies. ALPHA-RLH brings together a community of companies and research laboratories (300 members) to support, provide expertise, and finance collaborative innovation projects.

Why support the PLI Conferences 2026?

Our Strategic Activity Area in Laser Photonics benefits from the outstanding academic expertise of laboratories in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. A conference such as the PLI Conferences allows academic and industrial perspectives on laser processes to intersect. Since the 2026 edition is taking place in our region, we were delighted to be associated with it!

How does this event contribute to the visibility of the laser sector?

The laser sector in Nouvelle-Aquitaine is centered around Bordeaux but also features unique strengths in Limoges, often stemming from the XLIM Research Institute. This Limoges edition will be particularly well-suited to showcase these gems in the field of fiber and specialized laser sources.

What do the PLI Conferences concretely offer to participating companies?

It is essential for companies using photonics to stay informed of the state of the art and even anticipate future developments. The PLI Conferences allow participants, over two days of talks and exchanges, to gather a maximum of information to ultimately consider integrating these innovations into industrial processes.

A message to encourage professionals to come to Limoges in July 2026:

Come and discover Limoges, with its exceptional quality of life in July, and this remarkable hub of photonics innovation. The ALPHA-RLH cluster is present here (as well as in Talence and La Rochelle) and will be at your disposal to catalyze your innovation projects.

Don’t miss the flagship event of the sector!
