TRUMPF is investing €16 million in its new headquarters in Villepinte, near Paris. Machine tools and laser solutions serving French industry. Sustainable construction on a 5,000 m² site.
The international high-tech group TRUMPF inaugurated its new French headquarters in Villepinte on September 17, around twenty kilometers northeast of Paris. The company has invested €16.1 million in the new building, located on a site of more than 5,000 m². With this new investment, TRUMPF is strengthening its activities in France and expanding its offering in the fields of machine tools and laser technologies.
“France is an important market for TRUMPF. With our new headquarters, we are investing in the future of our customers and creating a place where modern production technologies and human interaction come together,” says Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, President and CEO of TRUMPF.
In addition to Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, several members of the TRUMPF Management Board attended the inauguration, alongside Stephan Steinlein, Ambassador of Germany to France, and Farida Adlani, Vice-President of the Île-de-France Region in charge of Solidarity, Health and Ageing.
A showcase for digitalization and connected production
TRUMPF technologies are used in numerous industrial sectors, including the semiconductor industry, aerospace and sheet metal processing. The Group’s lasers enable the precision cutting, welding, drilling and marking of complex components.
In the automotive industry, machine tools are used to process sheet-metal body and structural components, while lasers perform highly precise cutting and welding operations.
In the new Villepinte showroom, customers can see TRUMPF machine tools and lasers in operation, as well as the Group’s software solutions and digital services.
“This new site enables us to support companies in their transition to connected production. Digital solutions, robotics and artificial intelligence are essential for optimizing machine utilization, making processes more transparent and strengthening the competitiveness of our French customers,” explains Stephan Mayer, Managing Director of Machine Tools at TRUMPF.
TRUMPF: 45 years in France
In addition to the showroom, the new building features a large training area.
“At Villepinte, we bring our customers and our teams together. This proximity to the manufacturing industry has characterized TRUMPF France for more than 45 years,” emphasizes Gilles Caquot, President of TRUMPF France.
The French subsidiary employs 160 people. During the 2025/2026 financial year, it generated revenue of slightly more than €100 million. In addition to its headquarters in Villepinte, TRUMPF operates a production site in Haguenau, Alsace.
The new headquarters is based on a mixed timber-and-concrete structure and provides approximately 2,700 m² of usable floor space spread over several levels. The site covers approximately 5,000 m².
TRUMPF commissioned the Berlin-based architecture firm Barkow Leibinger to design its French headquarters. The building combines offices, seminar rooms, storage areas and a showroom.
The roof is equipped with 80 photovoltaic panels, with a total installed capacity of 33.2 kW. The building also has 13 geothermal probes, each 140 meters deep, which harness heat from the ground to provide heating.
