Can you introduce your company and its specialty?
"ALPhANOV is an optical and laser technology center located at the Institut d’Optique d’Aquitaine on the Talence campus. Its mission is to amplify innovation through collaboration between research and industry. We operate throughout the value chain: participating in collaborative projects, validating concepts, developing prototypes, producing small series, pooling technical and human resources, and providing technological support to business creators.
ALPhANOV is a key player in laser processes and micro-machining, from process development to industrial integration: studies based on knowledge of laser–material interaction, experimental validation using a wide range of laser sources and measurement instruments, development and characterization of industrial processes, prototype fabrication and small series subcontracting, support for integrating laser machining processes into industrial environments, and user training."
Which recent innovations or achievements are you most proud of?
"Our pride lies in successfully integrating our processes with our clients, whether for simple applications or highly complex projects. Thanks to our latest developments, we designed an ultra-short pulse laser turning module, opening new possibilities for machining rotational parts. This technology allows processing all types of materials, including diameters under 1 mm—a performance unattainable with conventional methods."
How long have you been a CLP member, and what does this membership bring you?
"ALPhANOV has been a CLP member since its creation in 2007. Membership allows us to promote laser technology and our expertise within the Club, as well as at CLP events for industrial stakeholders."

In your opinion, what are the upcoming innovations or trends in the laser sector?
"Laser technologies are evolving rapidly. Ultra-short pulse lasers and their increasing power are paving the way for new processes and innovative applications in batteries, surface treatments, and medical fields. Continuous and long-pulse lasers are also advancing, with welding and additive manufacturing offering particularly promising applications in aerospace and energy sectors."
