The PLI Conferences 2025 will take place on September 24–25 in Strasbourg, at the CCI Campus Alsace. This unmissable event dedicated to industrial laser processes brings together experts, researchers, industry professionals, and end users each year to explore the most significant technological innovations.
Organized by the CLUB LASER ET PROCÉDÉS, in collaboration with ICUBE, IPG PHOTONICS, IREPA LASER, PRECITEC, and the INSTITUT PHOTONIQUE, the event brings together a rich and dynamic ecosystem committed to promoting laser technologies. Alongside the co-organizers, sponsors like OPTOPRIM and TRUMPF play a key role in the success of these two days of networking, knowledge sharing, and technological insights.
In this feature, we shine a light on the commitment of a long-standing partner: TRUMPF, a key player in the laser field and member of the CLP for many years.
Interview with TRUMPF, sponsor of PLI Conferences 2025:
How many years have you been participating in the PLI Conferences, and how did you first hear about the event?
TRUMPF has been participating in the PLI Conferences for over 10 years. We discovered this event through our internal network of experts, whose experience and numerous contacts in the laser field naturally led them to get involved. They wanted to take part to stay closely connected with professionals in the sector and contribute to this key industry event.
Why did you decide to support the event this year?
Supporting the PLI Conferences is, above all, a way to affirm our commitment to the French laser ecosystem. This event plays a fundamental role in bringing together experts from the sector—whether from industry, academia, or end users. It provides a unique setting to share technological advances, exchange feedback, and spark new applications. The fact that the 2025 edition will be held in Strasbourg, a hub for photonics and industrial innovation, makes our presence even more relevant. For TRUMPF, this event is a strategic milestone.
What are your expectations for this edition, and which highlights are you most looking forward to?
We are eager to hear feedback on emerging processes such as ultra-fast laser processing, additive manufacturing, and the integration of advanced monitoring solutions. These are key topics for us and our clients, sitting at the intersection of industrial performance and technological innovation. Among the highlights we are particularly looking forward to:
- The panel meeting, which brings together various industrial profiles to discuss concrete challenges.
- The technical visits, which provide an opportunity to discover the expertise of renowned players.
- And of course, the networking evening—always a high-quality moment that fosters exchange in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
More broadly, what does CLP membership bring to your company?
Membership in the CLP is much more than just being part of a network: it offers ongoing access to a community that is expert, dynamic, and committed. We benefit from relevant technology watch, strong connections with R&D centres, and new collaboration opportunities at every event. It’s also a platform for visibility, where we can showcase our innovations and contribute to meaningful discussions on the evolution of laser processes. Through the CLP, TRUMPF is fully engaged in the collective building of a high-performance, sustainable, and forward-looking laser industry.
