PLI Conferences 2026 company visits: inside innovation

PLI Conferences 2026 company visits: inside innovation

As part of the PLI Conferences 2026, taking place on July 1–2 in Limoges, the Club Laser et Procédés invites participants to take part in exclusive company and technology center visits on Tuesday, June 30, the day before the conferences.

These visits offer a unique opportunity to discover leading innovation sites, engage with experts, and gain first-hand insight into the technologies shaping today’s and tomorrow’s laser industry.

The company visits are now fully booked, reflecting the strong enthusiasm for this edition; we encourage participants to register early for future editions.

Two visit options

Participants can choose between two parallel circuits:

- Option 1: ALPhANOV + CTTC
From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM (followed by a networking aperitif)

- Option 2: XLIM + GLOphotonics
From 3:30 PM to 6:15 PM

Practical information

- Free access for PLI Conferences participants
- Bus transportation provided
- Prior registration is mandatory
- Limited capacity: maximum 40 participants per option

Option 1: industrial processes and advanced materials

ALPhANOV: photonics for Industry 4.0

Located in the Ester Technopole, ALPhANOV is a key player in laser process development and custom R&D systems.

During the visit, participants will discover:
- Activities carried out in Limoges, particularly within the NEXTFAB project
- An automated pilot line dedicated to Industry 4.0 manufacturing of hybrid components
- Laser-based processes for surface preparation and microfabrication

A general tour of the facilities will also highlight the testing capabilities of the CISTEME Technology Research Center (CRT).

CTTC: ceramics expertise for industrial innovation

The CTTC (Centre for Technology Transfer in Ceramics) supports companies in developing and industrializing advanced ceramic solutions.

The visit will include:
- An overview of ceramic manufacturing processes, from laboratory to industrial scale
- A focus on additive manufacturing of ceramics and multi-material components
- A showroom illustrating the wide range of applications of technical ceramics

Option 2: cutting-edge research and advanced photonics

XLIM: a multidisciplinary research hub

XLIM (UMR CNRS 7252) is a leading multidisciplinary research institute located in Limoges, Brive, Poitiers, and Angoulême.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore several technical facilities within the PLATINOM platform, with demonstrations on:
- Material synthesis and processes for optical fibers
- Drawing of microstructured fibers and their applications
- High-power lasers
- Micro- and nanotechnologies

GLOphotonics: pushing the boundaries of light

GLOphotonics develops advanced photonic components based on hollow-core fiber technology and its proprietary Photonic MicroCell™.

Participants will discover:
- Fibers enabling the transmission of high-power, ultrafast laser pulses with minimal distortion
- Modules for pulse compression, spectral broadening, and frequency conversion
- Innovative applications in spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, and quantum technologies

A key highlight of the PLI Conferences

These company visits are a major highlight of the event. They provide:
- Early insights into the topics addressed during the conferences
- Valuable networking opportunities ahead of the main event
- Direct connections between research, innovation, and industry

Complementing the conferences, round tables, and networking sessions, these visits reinforce the practical and collaborative dimension of the PLI Conferences.

Join us on June 30 for an exclusive immersion into the laser and processes ecosystem in Limoges!
