From 29 September to 2 October 2026, Club Laser et Procédés (CLP) took part in Micronora in Besançon. Over four days, its collective stand brought together 14 members of the laser sector in Hall C. CLP also organised an afternoon of conferences on microtechnology applications in aerospace and defence.
Complementary expertise on one stand
Laser source and equipment manufacturers, system integrators, technology centres and process specialists presented different approaches to the needs of precision manufacturing.
Discussions covered topics including micromachining, additive manufacturing, beam characterisation, ultrafast lasers and surface functionalisation. This range of expertise gave visitors an opportunity to meet several specialists in one place and explore different technological approaches to their challenges.

An afternoon of conferences dedicated to aerospace and defence applications
On Tuesday 29 September, CLP organised a conference session linked to Micronora’s Zoom 2026, which focused on innovative technologies and processes for aerospace and defence.
The presentations covered subjects ranging from the qualification of additively manufactured parts and laser safety to component micromachining, surface functionalisation, femtosecond laser sources and non-destructive metrology. Question-and-answer sessions gave attendees an opportunity to discuss the technical issues with the speakers.

Continuing the conversations beyond the show
Micronora gave CLP members an opportunity to present their capabilities and speak directly with manufacturers about their requirements for precision, quality and production. These meetings offer a starting point for further technical discussions and potential collaborations.
